Operate initial data review
To proceed with accepting an instruction, which is done by operating the task “Perform initial data review (agent)”, click on 
Proceed with the review of the order.

The checks
Start with the review of the checks and click on

Applicant name and applicant address
Applicant name and applicant address may have an impact on the parameters “Recordal data” and “Recordal data entered after instruction”.

Operational deadline
The operational deadline can be found by:
- Closing the task “Perform initial data review (agent)”
- Going to the “Workflow tasks” of the instruction
- Finding the task “Report validation filing” or “Report registration of address for service”
- Checking the “Delivery expected date”, which is your operational deadline
This check may have an impact on the “Procedural options” parameters.
Recordal parameters
This check is to be completed when the review of the recordal parameters (“Recordal data” and “Recordal data entered after instruction”) has been done. Depending on the information displayed in the European patent register, the parameter value “Recordal data entered after instruction” may have to be amended.
Word count review
The word count can be found in the parameter “Number of words to translate”. To see the translation requirements selected by the customer, go to the parameter “Translation requirements”.

Recordal data
The recordal data is automatically detected at the moment the customer places the instruction.
It is important to check if this data is still accurate.
If the recordal data is no longer accurate, please see section “Recordal data entered after instruction”.
Recordal data entered after instruction
If the recordal data is no longer accurate, select “Yes” and choose the relevant type(s) of recordal based on the updated information you have collected from the European patent register.
Once this parameter and the parameter “Recordal data” have been reviewed, the check “Recordal parameters” can be “Marked as done”.
Procedural options
If, after reviewing the operational deadline, you realize you need more time to prepare the translation or to file the validation (when postponing the deadline is not possible since the official deadline is close), you can use the gain of time available in your jurisdiction by selecting “Yes”.
The operational deadline and the official deadline will be amended after iPify has acknowledged the use of gain of time.
If no gain of time is needed, simply select “No”.
🗒️Note:
The example is related to an Italian instruction. However the explanation on procedure applies to any gain of time (grace period, time extension and temporary translation, etc.).
⚠️Warning:
Make sure that you select the parameters needed to complete the validation. It is especially important that you make sure that the procedural options parameter is selected correctly BEFORE delivering the step.
There is no possibility to change an already completed step. If an error was made, please send us a message immediately.
Translation requirements
This section shows the translation choices made by the customer.

Source document information
This displays the total number of words to be translated taking into account the translation requirements selected by the customer.
