Getting Started: How to Get a Quote and Place Your Order

This guide walks you through obtaining a quote and placing an order. It covers key steps to download and share your quote, review pricing and include detailed instructions for your order.

Getting started: Selecting what you want on your quote or order

1. From the "Home" page, enter the patent application or publication number in the "EP validations & translations" wizard and click the arrow
   
   
2. Add your case reference and click "Next step" on the bottom right.
   
   
3. Select the jurisdictions or services you want to be included in the quote on the left by clicking the addition symbol  '+'. You can also refine your search by entering the country ISO code in the search bar above the list of offers.  
   
   
4. Tailor your quote by clicking that you will provide one or more translations and/or by clicking that you want to include payment of the 1st annuity due after the patent grant. The price will automatically adjust.
   
   
   
   
5. Expand the line of the country or service by clicking the chevron (>) and discover:
   
   • The breakdown of the official, service and translation costs
   • Patent bibliographic information 
   • The translation requirements including the number of words that will be translated
   • Recordal status
   
   
   

Downloading or sharing your quote

You can download or share your quote in two ways. A quote from iPify to your firm (Download this quote) or by including your fees on a quote ready to be shared with your client (Share with your client)

1. If you click "Download this quote", you will be prompted to confirm that the quote that will be downloaded does not include YOUR fees. 
   
   
   
   
2. If OK, click and confirm "Download anyway". An XLSX quote will be downloaded.

"Share with your client":

1. After clicking "Share with your client", simply select any of the pre-existing end clients or add a new one.
   
   
   
   
2. Then click on "Download this quote". The prominent purple button on the bottom right as seen here
   
3. Then you can choose how to share the quote with your client. Either as an XLSX, HTML (which can be saved as a PDF) or as a link. You can also choose to include "Add Unitary Patent cost forecast simulation" on your quote to your client (available in HTML).
   
   

Placing your order

1. Ready to entrust iPify with your instruction? After adding your countries or services, click on "Proceed to instruct" on the bottom right of your screen
   
   
   
   
2. Review the prices and if applicable, include your country-specific reference numbers, add information you want to tell us in the comments field on the right-hand side and if you are ready, you can upload already executed PoAs or provided translations before clicking "OK, instruct orders" on the bottom right. You can also request a translation to be used for the Unitary Effect by clicking the toggle next to "Expedite translation for unitary effect".
   
   
   
   
3. And success! Your order is with us...
   
   ...and an email is waiting in your mailbox to confirm your instructions.
