Discover how you can upload a document on the workflow and deliver the related task

⚠️Warning:
An uploaded document cannot be removed if the related workflow task was already delivered. Make sure to upload the document before closing the related workflow task.
Open the document task
Once you have identified which document you need to upload (see Knowing which "Tasks" you are assigned & Access the "Tasks" you are assigned), go to tasks > document tasks .
Go to the chosen document and click on and on
. The following window opens.
Start with the completion of the document task.
Upload the document
Option 1: Drag and drop the document you wish to upload.
Option 2: Click on to access your local documents folder saved on your computer. Select the document and upload it.
🗒️Note:
Pay attention to the format supported by the platform that depends on the nature of the document:

- .PDF and .DOCX for translations
- .PDF for other documents.

The maximum size is 10MB.
When a document is uploaded, the date and name are displayed under “Document history”.

💡Tip:
You can download the document by clicking on . You can remove the document by clicking on

⚠️Warning:
You cannot remove the uploaded document if the related task (ex: report validation filing) is delivered.
Upload of translations
For translation documents, a pop-up window opens for you to select the section(s) of the upload.

💡Tip:
You can select all the sections at once, click on “Select all“
Should you not select all the sections when uploading, an error message will be displayed.
You can add another document until all sections have been completed.
Only the missing section(s) will be available for upload.
The different documents with associated sections will appear separately.
Perform the checks
Proceed with the verifications and mark all the checks as done (see Parameters and checks: what's the difference? & Knowing which "Tasks" you are assigned)
TIP: Make sure that the document you upload corresponds to the patent number at the top left.

Pause the completion
If you need to pause the completion of the document task, you can exit the task and the platform will save the uploaded document and already marked as done checks. When you reopen the document task, you will be able to restart the completion where you paused.
You can still change undo a check. And you can remove-reupload a document as long as the related workflow task is not delivered.
Follow the progress of a document task
To follow the completion of a document task, view the progress bar

Submit the document task
Once all the verifications, checks, uploads and selection of parameters are done, the document task is completed and ready to be delivered.

The document appears in the list of documents of the patent, ready to be downloaded by iPify. (see Knowing when a document is available for download)
TIP: To follow the status of the delivery of a document, look at the document progress bar

You can also find the documents under “Documents > All” (left panel).
⚠️Warning:
A delivered step CANNOT be amended, therefore it is very important to make sure that all checks have been actually performed and the correct document(s) was uploaded.
